Use sturdy boxes, wrap fragile items in bubble wrap, and fill empty spaces so nothing shifts during transit. We'll send you a packing guide when you book, and our team can walk you through it over the phone. The better you pack, the safer everything arrives.
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, explosives, perishable food, live plants, and illegal substances are all off-limits. Some countries also restrict certain medications, firearms, and animal products. We'll give you a full restricted items list for your specific destination before you start packing.
Absolutely. We offer marine cargo insurance that covers your belongings against loss, damage, theft, and other risks during transit. The cost is typically 1-3% of the total declared value. We strongly recommend it. Things happen at sea, and it's not worth the risk.
Transit times vary by destination. Shipments to the Caribbean or Central America typically take 2-4 weeks. West Africa is usually 4-6 weeks. Southeast Asia and the Pacific can be 5-8 weeks. We'll give you an estimated arrival date when you book so you can plan around it.
It depends on the country. Many countries allow returning citizens to import personal effects duty-free, but the rules vary. Some charge duties on electronics, vehicles, or items that look "new." We'll help you understand what to expect so there aren't any surprises when your shipment arrives.
